Contrasting colors of deep green and golden yellow are amazing on this vining plant. This plant earned its’ name, due to the resemblance it shares to the Brazilian flag! It is also known as the “Variegated Heartleaf Philodendron”.
Care is very easy. Bright to moderate, indirect light for best color. They can tolerate low light, but color will be affected. Too much light can burn the leaves. Allow to dry out between waterings. Don’t overwater. Reduce watering during winter months. This is a fast grower and is beautiful in a hanging basket or in a pot or container that allows it to cascade down, otherwise you will need a trellis for it to climb. It should be fertilized with a general, water-soluble fertilizer at half strength, one to two times per month.
